Successes at the Outstanding VET (Vocational Education and Training) Student Competition

Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized the Outstanding VET Student Competition for the fourth time this year, extended it with the National Professional Competition, the national final of which took place under the name of “The 4^th Star of the Trade Festival (IV. Szakma Sztár Fesztivál)” on April 18-20 of 2011 in Budapest.

From the several hundred students starting in semi-final, preceding the national competition, also 3 of our structure fitter apprentices who attended the practical instruction in the training workshop of DKG-EAST Zrt. could get compared with the best of the profession. From the students qualified in 31 trades those of “Zsigmondy Vilmos” and “Széchenyi István” Vocational Schools of Nagykanizsa city returned home with diplomas and memorial certificates from the competition lasting three days. In the national final of the Outstanding VET Student Competition István Kovacsics finished on the first place, while Gábor Gáspár took the 6^th place, and Zoltán Nagy took the 7^th place. The successful performance of the apprentices is attributable also to the great professional attainments, the devoted and responsible work of Attila Somogyi coaching teacher.
As a result of the accomplishments these young people get exempted from the trade examinations and complete the school with excellent result.
