DKG's article in Welding technics magazine Print E-mail
There is an article published in the fourth issue of the magazine Hegesztéstechnika in 2008. on a heat exchanger with special requirements manufactured by DKG East. The title of the article is The manufacture of a combined feed/effluent heat exchanger for Oil industry. 
Purcheser ordered to design and manufacture the heat exchanger in accordance with ASME Code VIII Div. 1 completed with specific terms of reference on 34 pages and 4 appendices. DKG-EAST has manufactured heat exchangers by several specification for decades, and since 1991 has the right to use National Board Stamp for manufacture as per ASME Code VIII. The complementary requirements were based on operational experience of purchaser, expected lifetime and on practice of  performed monitoring (ISI) during operation. That was a great challenge to define and comply with requirements, but manufacturer got it out succesfully. It is necessary to observ standards and technical directives of installation of hazardous operating welded pressure wessels under controll of advisory board, but not enough. The article review extra requirements, their reasons and execution in favour of limiting embrittlement and expanding stand against hydrogen.
